About The Event
Welcome to the FOXP1 Global Community!! This month we are pleased to have 2 speech pathologists join us on the Zoom call. They will make a presentation on language development and low-tech assistive communication techniques. Everyone is invited to participate, the conversation is in English.
Elissa Steinke is a certified speech/language pathologist working for the Chester County Intermediate Unit for 27 years. She has worked in both school age and preschool special education, with most of her experience with evaluating and treating preschool age children within developmental delay programs, autistic support and telepractice therapy delivery.
Basil Thommen is a licensed and certified speech-language pathologist who has been working at CCIU for five years. He has experience working with students ages 3-21 with a wide range of communication disorders in various settings including developmental delay support, autistic support, and multiple disabilities support classrooms.
