Letter to our Community

Dear FOXP1 Community,

As we step into this exciting next chapter together, I’m honored to join you in advancing the mission of the International FOXP1 Foundation as your Executive Director.

This Foundation was created by families who came together across borders and backgrounds with a shared vision to build the community they needed and the future they believed was possible. The work ahead will continue to focus on empowering families while working to accelerate science and advance research that leads to understanding and hope.

In the coming months, I will be connecting with as many of you as possible—listening, learning, and working alongside the Board to build upon the strong foundation already in place. Together, we will strengthen our internal systems, grow our outreach, and expand programs that reflect the global nature and diverse needs of our community.

With the support of the Board of Directors, we’ll be building new partnerships, enhancing our communications, and launching fundraising initiatives to expand our reach and deepen our impact. We’ll also continue advocating for greater awareness because every individual with FOXP1 syndrome deserves to feel seen and supported.

To all the families, volunteers, doctors, and researchers who make up this community, thank you, you are the heart of this Foundation. And to those newly diagnosed or just discovering the FOXP1 Community, I would like to personally welcome you and share that you are not alone.

I look forward to meeting many of you at the Family Conference in the Netherlands and to all that we will accomplish together in the months and years ahead.
